Greetings! My name is Emily Hemmelgarn and I’m thrilled to be your language arts teacher this year! Here are a few items about me. I grew up on a pig farm outside of Russia and graduated from Russia Local Schools. After graduating from Russia, I graduated from Wright State University with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Middle Childhood Education and recently graduated with a degree in school administration from Concordia University.
This will be my twelfth year of teaching. This will be my eigth year of teaching sixth grade at Minster, however, I taught for four years in West Carrollton which is South of Dayton.
My husband, Mark, and I have three little girls: Kensey, Addison, and Macy. We also have a cat named Snickers, and a rabbit named Moo-Moo all of which you will hear about this year! I’m certainly looking forward to a fun filled year where we will be able to grow with the Power of Yet while learning language arts and enjoying a good book!
